Preparing to Come

What to Bring

The Passion Play is a three hour outdoor event. We suggest you prepare for hot, cold, wet, and dry conditions: bring a hat, blanket, jacket, sunglasses, water, insect repellent, and rainwear with a hood. Umbrellas and picnic coolers are not permitted as they block sight lines and isles. Please note that the Passion Play amphitheatre is extremely sound sensitive and we are unable to accommodate babies and children under the age of 6.
Our concession has a variety of meal and snack options and is cash only to keep the lines moving quickly.

Amphitheatre Seating

Tickets bear your seat number. In the photo below, section A is on your left (closest to the main entrance and washrooms) and Section I is on the far right (closest to the crosses). All connecting paths are shale or gravel. Wooden bench seating with backs, ample leg room and seat spacing with clear sight lines, make every seat a good seat. You may bring your own cushion for comfort, or a limited number are available in the Gift Shop.

The amphitheatre has superb acoustics, but actors voices are also amplified to ensure ease of hearing for all guests.

Amenities

Parking Lots for cars and buses are staffed by attendants. Golf cart shuttle service is available for those needing assistance from the parking lots to the Amphitheatre. Please arrive at least one hour ahead of performance time.
A variety of refreshments are available for sale (and made available in the amphitheatre during the intermission of each Passion Play performance). Enjoy concession items in a grassy picnic area just north of the Jerusalem Wall.

Ask parkers and ushers for assistance and let us know if you are in a wheelchair.
We welcome visitors to enjoy the Canadian Badlands while on site. Please avoid going in the hills during a performance day. Otherwise, you are welcome to explore.
